From Hatred to Friendship: Catholic Church and the Jews
Q & A and Reception to follow

Despite centuries of animosity, Jewish-Catholic relations are currently a model of dialogue and friendship between two religious groups. This dramatic change happened in the decades following WWII, with a major step taken during the Second Vatican Council that resulted in the pivotal 1965 declaration “Nostra Aetate” that has redefined the Catholic Church’s relations with non-Christian religions.  In the decades following the declaration both communities made a concerted effort to change existing relations from previously hateful to predominantly friendly.
