In Spain and Greece, traditional social democratic parties that embraced globalization have been challenged by popular demands for a wholly different  approach. Now, to the astonishment of all, the British Labor Party, which is arguably the most traditional and conservative of the continent’s left-wing parties, has seen its leadership decapitated in an unprecedented upsurge. Our speaker will explain how it happened, what it means, and what will come of it.

Anthony Barnett is the founder of open-Democracy. His recent article “Open Labor: The
Only Way Corbyn can Replace Blatcherism” can be found on the openDemocracy website.
